Decoy lead wire tuning sinkers can be used to adjust the weight balance of hooks and rigs. Because they are thread-like, you can fine-tune the weight by changing the length you cut them. Made of soft lead, they can be easily cut with wire cutters. They are useful in a variety of fishing situations, both with bait and lures, such as wrapping them directly around hooks, adjusting the weight of lures like squid jigs and frogs, or even using them as nail sinkers on worms in techniques like micro hover-strolling.
