Dranckrazy Skibble

The Dranckrazy Skibble is used for one of the newest techniques recently introduced in Bassmasters 5 page article of the September/October 2025 edition as Quiver Trappin'. The Skibble is made of a floating elastomer material with amazing skipping ability and is designed for the Quiver Trappin' technique which is achieved by proper hook placement that makes the Skibble push water in a sideways retrieve so that the bait is crabbing across the surface.
It excels in a neck-swinging action with extremely limited movement.
The hard elastomer material pushes strongly against the water and has a strong pulling force for Quiver Trappin'.
For the Quiver Trap method it can simply be rigged with an EWG style hook rigged 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down from the head of the Skibble which is the thicker part of the lure that will push the most water. The positioning of the hook may need to be adjusted to achieve optimum Quiver Trappin' crab-walking retrieve that pushes water creating the quiver effect. Dial in the cadence by quivering the rod tip similar to that of the mid-strolling technique. For deeper water presentations simply insert a nail weight into the head.

You can also vary your technique with a strolling jig head, weighted hook or a bullet weight to work the water around submerged cover.
When weighted for sinking, it has an  enticing shimming action on the fall.

Recommended gear:
Medium-Heavy casting rod paired with a higher speed reel and spooled with 30-40 lb braided line and using a mono leader if needed for clearer water conditions.
