By designing a guiding cone at the center of the sinker, it is possible to insert the sinker straight into the intended spot. Additionally, the thin-shaft suspension keeper grips the worm well, significantly improving retention.

Power finesse fishing often involves the line touching branches and other obstacles, and the rig frequently does not move much within cover. By using a weight of 5 grams or more and applying a downward pulling force while simultaneously applying an upward pull with rod action, the lure can move properly, which can trigger bites.

By minimizing the weight contained within the worm as much as possible, the weight is concentrated at the tip of the sinker. This makes it possible to pierce straight through cover, giving the sinker very high cover penetration. (With a 3.5g sinker, over 90% of the weight, approximately 3.1g, is concentrated outside the worm.)

By combining it with the cover-specific Neko rig hook 'Coilock,' it is possible to catch fish in cover areas that were previously difficult to target with the Neko rig.
