Megabass Limited Edition Respect Series #80: SG Smallmouth Bass

The SG Smallmouth Bass is a time-honored color that was used on the Pop-X, which debuted in 1996. 
At the time, rumors of smallmouth bass catching in Japan's waters were just beginning to emerge, so the Pop-X lineup included the green and silver GG Bass (Largemouth Bass) and the brown and gold SG Smallmouth Bass as sister colors. These colors are not simply imitations of two types of bass; rather, they are based on a clear concept: while similar colors are used, differences in tone and flashing intensity allow for color selection to match the water color. While the GG Bass emphasizes flashing, the SG Smallmouth Bass emphasizes water compatibility through its exquisite transparency, making it extremely effective in waters that have become black due to tannins seeping out from piles of fallen leaves and driftwood.
