The Ryugi Pierce Back Slide Hook is a specialized hook that allows anglers to adjust the position of the eyelet with a rounded bend and low-profile worm keeper.
By changing the position of the eyelet and fine-tuning with a nail weight, the fulcrum and center of gravity of the backslide rig changes, making it easier to modify the angle and rate of fall of your presentation.
When using an offset hook for a backslide rig, the degree of freedom in eye position is limited. The Slide Pierce, however, allows you to move the eye position forward or backward using a dedicated worm keeper. By changing the eye position, the rig's pivot point and center of gravity change, making it easier to adjust the "angle" and "speed" of the fall. Further fine-tuning is possible by using a nail sinker.
The hook uses the Pierce Hook TC, which provides high hooking performance even in situations where sufficient hooking power cannot be transmitted, such as when hooking fish through cover or after long casts.
