Power finesse fishing, using PE line and MH to H class spinning reels, involves enticing fish by twitching the lure on the surface or dropping it underwater. This style has become a standard technique for overcoming tough conditions. However, it's also true that more and more bass are becoming wary of lures that are suspended. The PF Roberta was created to tackle these bass. By using a head that doesn't use metal, it can snag on branches deep in cover, detach, and swim gently to the next branch. It mimics the movement of a frog, insect, or shrimp. Bass that had seen through the twitching lure will bite as if by magic—that's the PF Roberta.
The head shape features a 30-degree eye and a triangular shape for superior snag-free performance. In addition, the jig shape with a brush guard is less likely to release the fish after it's hooked compared to an offset hook, making it effective even when used like a surface twitch with insect-type lures. The absence of weight in the head provides excellent stability when skipping, allowing you to reach deeper into the cover. By using an elastomer worm as a trailer worm, you can also create a horizontal posture.
