While the LIVE WIRE has a sharp action, the SPITTIN' WIRE pushes water with a powerful undulating action. Its slightly thicker shad-like body is equipped with a sound-generating function. Unlike a pure popper, its action is diverse. It performs short slides accompanied by a fluttering motion from side to side. Each action produces a subtle sound, splashing water, and a mixed rattle sound. With the right timing, it can also dive or dart just below the surface. The resistance of the cup minimizes travel distance, allowing you to pack a variety of sluggish, frustrating actions into a small spot. Its outstanding castability makes it ideal for checking large areas, such as submerged plant areas. By using the reel in a way that matches the rod movement, you can easily perform basic actions.
